Netflix hires Mariah Carey to sing before NFL games on Christmas Day

The NFL is giving fans another gift this holiday season as the Queen of Christmas will appear during live Christmas Day games on Netflix in addition to Queen Bey’s highly anticipated Texans halftime show.

Netflix announced that Mariah Carey, fresh off a holiday tour, will open the big games with a pre-recorded performance of her record-breaking hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You” at the first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday live on Netflix on December 25th.

Carey’s taped appearance will air before the Chiefs-Steelers game at 1:00 p.m. ET and again before the Ravens-Texans game, which begins at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Of course, Beyoncé will be on stage during the halftime show when the Ravens take on the Texans in Houston. And fans around the world are eagerly awaiting her show as it will be the first time she will perform songs from her eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter.

Beyoncé recently teased her appearance in a snippet on Instagram, calling it “A Cowboy Carter Christmas.”
