NFL DFS Best Plays for Week 17 (Fantasy Football)

Each week we’ll review some of the content included in DFS Pass and discuss some of our most confident plays on Sunday. A lot can change over the weekend, especially if there is injury news (see Betz’s Injury Blitz podcast) and roster percentages shift as to who is in or out before the roster lockout. Let’s review.

Locked In Cash Games

Borg – On a slate with so much uncertainty to pay for Justin Jefferson feels like a security blanket. He’s the best home WR in league history, averaging 103 receiving yards per game, and a win here at home gives the Vikings a chance to overtake the Lions in Week 18 and clinch the division title and the No. 1 seed in the NFC pick up. There’s a lot at stake… and selfishly I’m playing against the JJetts in my home league. I squeezed as much juice out of that emotional security as possible, didn’t I?

Betz – Bucky Irving gets the matchup we’ve been attacking all season for just $6,700, with Tampa leading Carolina by 8 points at home. Tampa’s implied team total of 28 is tied with Buffalo for the highest on the list. For me he is the first player in cash games this week.

DraftKings core games

These are the 3-5 players at each position that we have mixed in our cash player pool. Due to salaries, late notices, and budget constraints, it’s guaranteed that you won’t be able to accommodate all of them. But their high floors and team totals make them great plays this week in both cash and GPP values.

These are simply listed in order of most popular core players. Obviously, you won’t be able to fit everyone on a cash statement, and there are salary trade-offs for pay at every position.

Sam Darnold is at home, in a dome, the safest option this week. Jordan Love is more volatile in the same game, but if you want to go that route, it’s definitely worth considering. Expect a lot of builds to start with GB/MIN. Additionally, the field shrinks significantly this week considering the QBs we have available to us on this main roster.
