NFL scores, live updates: Vikings host Packers in massive NFC North showdown

While the Lions and Eagles — and likely the Commanders as well as the NFC North and South winners — will have their say on the matter, Packers vs. Vikings would be a nail-biting NFC championship game. Both teams have been outstanding all year, and even if Green Bay can’t win the NFC North, Sunday’s game is still significant for both teams. The 13-2 Vikings can stay in the hunt for a division title and the No. 1 seed in the NFC with a win. The 11-4 Packers are 11-0 against teams not currently ahead of them in the NFC playoff picture (Green Bay is 0-4 against Detroit, Minnesota and Philadelphia). If they get to the Super Bowl, they must win a playoff game in at least one of those teams’ home stadiums. A good benchmark for the club will therefore be this afternoon’s trip to Minneapolis.

Also closing the late Sunday afternoon window in Week 17 are the Miami Dolphins, who face the Browns in Cleveland.
