Noah Eagle gives an accurate impression of the fight with father Ian Eagle

NBC play-by-play man Noah Eagle is long past the days of having to listen to his father, fellow broadcaster Ian Eagle, clean his room. But on Monday, Noah gave fans a glimpse of what an argument with his father used to be like. And it’s about as hilarious as you’d expect.

Growing up as the father of a legendary broadcaster like Noah Eagle obviously had some advantages. One of them includes the ability to recite his famous catchphrases during an argument.

At an appearance on Up & Adams With Kay Adams, Adams read a fan question in which he asked Eagle what a fight with his father looked like.

“Did you ask him if his father ever recorded an argument between the two of them? “And does it sound as amazing as it does in my head?” Adams asked.

Eagle responded by going into full broadcast mode and pulling out his father’s famous sayings to give a truly hilarious impression of what an argument sounded like.

“Yeah, when he came home and said, ‘Clean up your room!’ And I’m leaving, denied! And then he says, “Crossed, broken ankles!” So ​​there was a lot of back and forth between the two of us. Finally all he got was the statement: “A torture attack in his bedroom!” No bed made!’ And at that point it was just over. There were many who could top the other.”

Perhaps moments like these led Noah Eagle to follow in his father’s footsteps and pursue broadcasting professionally.

Regardless, Noah Eagle has done a great job paving his own path as a broadcaster outside of his father’s shadow. In addition to calling college football games for NBC as the play-by-play voice of Big Ten Saturday night, Eagle also recently headlined coverage of the 2024 French Open as lead play-by-play man.

Eagle’s biggest effort to date will be seen on Netflix alongside Nate Burleson and JJ Watt in a three-man booth at the Christmas game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ian Eagle, along with Fox color analyst Greg Olsen, will broadcast the second game of the day on Netflix.

It will be an Eagles family affair on Christmas Day. But according to him, it all started in Noah Eagle’s bedroom.
