Official starting lineups – Inter Milan vs Como: Nicolo Barella and Carlos Augusto start

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to use Nicolo Barella in midfield against Como. The Serie A matchday 17 game starts tonight at 8:45 p.m. CET.

Inter coach Inzaghi more or less opted for the strongest available starting eleven this evening.

Inter face Como in Serie A. And even though the Lariani have just been promoted from Serie B, they have put in an impressive performance against the big teams.

That’s why Inter coach Inzaghi didn’t give any important players in the starting eleven a break.

However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t significant absences.

Inter is in the middle of one a full-blown injury crisis in defense. Francesco Acerbi and Benjamin Pavard remain out, while Stefan de Vrij and Matteo Darmian are only fit enough for the bench.

Therefore, Inzaghi has selected the back three of Carlos Augusto, Alessandro Bastoni and Yann Bisseck.

Meanwhile, in goal, Yann Sommer returns to the starting XI after Josep Martinez was given the chance to start in the Coppa Italia against Udinese.

Then Inzaghi selected Denzel Dumfries and Federico Dimarco on the wings.

In midfield, meanwhile, Inzaghi has made a remarkable choice.

Nicolo Barella has only just returned from injury – but the 27-year-old was named in the starting eleven this evening.

Barella completes a starting trio alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Hakan Calhanoglu.

And finally, in attack it is the storm duo Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.
