College football fans hoping to watch Saturday’s game between No. 6 Penn State and No. 11 SMU may have had brief difficulty watching it on their televisions because the broadcast is carried by TNT.
But no matter how long you spent scrolling through your TV guide before finding the game, you undoubtedly had an easier time than the SMU band trying to follow the action in Happy Valley.
As fans reached their seats at Beaver Stadium before kickoff, many noticed that the SMU marching band had strangely been cordoned off to the farthest corner of the arena.

It’s a tough break for the SMU band, who have to make their way from the top of the stadium to the field for their halftime performance and then march all the way back to their seats to settle in for the second half.
In the first year of the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff, Penn State wasn’t afraid to take full advantage of its home-court advantage.
