Pittsburgh Steelers could bring back Justin Fields against the Chiefs

The Pittsburgh Steelers could bring back quarterback Justin Fields against the Kansas City Chiefs. After suffering an abdominal injury against the Philadelphia Eagles, Fields took the field on Monday and was listed as questionable after another limited practice on Tuesday.

The likely outcome is that Fields will be billed as the third emergency quarterback, while Kyle Allen will be Russell Wilson’s replacement. Fields did not take team representatives with him or he would have been listed as a full participant, indicating Allen is likely to be the backup player.

Since Russell Wilson took over as starting quarterback, the fields have been used sparingly. While Fields was a starter, he led the team to a 4-2 record, but Wilson has helped the team soar, but the last two losses left significant pain.

Still, the team wants Fields back not only because of the potential packages they can play with him, but also because in the event of an injury to Wilson, Fields could return and provide quality backup play if it ever came to that.
