Pizza delivery driver stabs customer over tip, Osceola County deputies say

A 22-year-old pizza delivery woman is facing charges after officials say she violently attacked a customer over a tip, Osceola County deputies say.

On Sunday, officers responded to the Riviera Motel on E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee for reports of a home invasion and stabbings. When they arrived, they found a victim who had been stabbed multiple times and items were taken from the room, a news release said.

The victim was transported to the hospital and was in stable condition at last check.

According to officials, Brianna Alvelo – a Marco’s Pizza employee – delivered a pizza to the victim and was upset about the size of the tip. She later returned to the victim’s motel room with an unknown man armed with a firearm, where she attacked the victim.

After obtaining a warrant, Alvelo was arrested at the restaurant Monday and booked into the Osceola County Jail without bail.

Alvelo was charged with burglary of a firearm, attempted murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault.

The armed male suspect has not been identified. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crimeline (800) 423-8477.

On Wednesday, News 6 received this response from a Marco’s Pizza spokesperson following Alvelo’s arrest.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident. The local owner and his team are cooperating fully with local authorities who have launched an investigation into the matter. The safety and well-being of customers and team members is always our top priority and we take this incident very seriously.”
