Of all the defenders involved in the game, only Fiorentina’s Dodo was able to partially convince despite a poor start.

Juventus’ Pierre Kalulu and Federico Gatti had a poor night and were in the wrong position when Kean scored Fiorentina’s first equalizer before half-time.

The same goes for Nicolò Savona in the second half, although Andrea Cambiaso made the most serious mistake that led to Fiorentina’s late goal.

Raffaele Palladino made the right substitutions and added stability to a midfield that had suffered from Marcus Thuram’s physicality.

David De Gea made some crucial saves to keep Fiorentina in the game and help the Tuscans to an important win against their arch-rivals.

Best Juventus player: Thuram 8 – An easy choice. The Frenchman not only scored two goals, but was also dominant in central midfield for over an hour.

Lowest Juventus rating: Cambiaso 4.5 – Entered the pitch in the final 30 minutes but was responsible for Fiorentina’s second goal when he slipped before firing the ball to the edge of the Bianconeri’s penalty area, leading to the Tuscans’ equaliser. His teammates did the rest.

Palladino 6.5 – Smart use of substitutions contributed to an important draw that tasted like a win. Fiorentina played some good football in the second half, especially after Kean’s goal.
