Preview: Maine hosts Merrimack in the Maine State Pride game on Dec. 13 in Portland

ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine women’s ice hockey team will host a single conference game against Merrimack College on December 13th in Portland at Cross Insurance Arena. Game time for “Maine State Pride” is set for 6 p.m.

The Black Bears’ last time:

  • Maine faced #13 BU and #15 UConn this past weekend and lost both games. The Black Bears picked up a point over the weekend, as Saturday’s loss came after UConn was pushed into overtime.

  • senior forward Adriana van de Leest had a four-point weekend and assisted on all four of Maine’s goals.

  • Freshmen Kendall Sundby had a three-point weekend with two power play goals and an assist.

  • Frederikke Foss scored her first career goal Saturday against UConn.

  • Kiia Lahtinen saw both games between the pipes and made 65 saves between the two games.

  • Maine faced the Warriors four times last season, three times in league play and once in the opening round of the playoffs.
