“Professional ballplayer gets beaten by Ronnie 2K’s son”

“Professional ballplayer gets beaten by Ronnie 2K’s son”

LiAngelo ball, Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls guards LaMelo Ball and Lonzo Ball’s brother faced internet personality and live streamer N3on in a half-court shootout. However, things apparently didn’t go as planned for LiAngelo because the streamer showed him, which sparked strange reactions from NBA fans.

Although Ball never played in a regular-season NBA game, he came close to Charlotte, appearing in three preseason appearances during the 2022–23 season. However, he was released before the regular season and continued his career with the Hornets’ NBA G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm.

Since then, Ball has taken his talents outside the United States. He most recently played for Astros de Jalisco in Mexico before returning home to recover from a left ankle injury earlier this year.

Despite his checkered basketball career, Ball is still known for his skills as an outside hitter and enjoys a relatively high profile due to his family name. On Friday, he joined N3on for a stream in which the duo competed in an outdoor half-court shootout, each attempting five shots.

After knocking down four deep triples, Ball watched N3on go a perfect 5-for-5 and reacted in obvious disbelief.

“Hey, bro, this guy was playing at recess or something,” Ball said. “He’s not kidding me.”

Afterwards, fans on X/Twitter cheered Ball on, with many criticizing his failure to make it to the NBA.

“No wonder he never made the league,” said @FearedRockett.

“Now it makes sense why he’s out of the league,” @suayrez wrote.

“There’s a reason he’s the only brother out of the league,” @FreeAgen_ said.

“LiAngelo acts like he’s a real NBA player,” @f8tality1_ wrote.

Meanwhile, others joked that Ball lost to a non-athlete.

“Professional ballplayer gets beaten by Ronnie 2K’s son. Feel a little ashamed,” said @RagsTuhBitches.

“This is why he’s not in the NBA and his brothers are losing to N3on of all people,” wrote @Mark_Clipz.

LiAngelo Ball motivated to continue his basketball career

Even though LiAngelo Ball’s basketball career seems to be on the decline, he doesn’t seem to have given up on his NBA dream just yet.

On What An Experience with Lonzo Ball in October, he discussed his potential path to proving his doubters wrong.

“I’m still doing… I’m not done yet… I like the Big3,” Ball said. “Maybe I’ll just play in the Big3 because it’s in the summer. I just love playing basketball. That’s it. That would be nice to play basketball. Maybe I’ll get to the G-League…Try getting pulled up the old fashioned way.”

However, at age 26, Ball probably only has a few years left to try and secure a chance in the NBA.
