Purdue was embarrassed on the road by #10 Indiana, 66-0

Ledman:

There’s no good way to talk about this game without mentioning how embarrassing this season has been for fans. Yes, it’s tough being a player on this team, I have no doubt about that, but the fans have supported this program. Fans have lobbied for this program. The fans did everything that was asked of them. Then this happened. Purdue had just four first downs with nine minutes left in the fourth quarter. This is completely unacceptable and indicates many problems with this program. Players are not empowered to succeed. I understand that Purdue doesn’t have the talent of Ohio State and Oregon doesn’t have the talent of Penn State, but you’re telling me that Purdue doesn’t have the players to even put together a drive that looks competent ? The coaching staff just seems incredibly indecisive about all the big decisions. Who actually commits the crime? I really don’t know.

If anyone in the Purdue athletic department watched this game and thought this personnel could be saved, they should also be let out the door on Sunday. There is nothing to save here. Purdue is bleeding recruits and I’m sure the transfer portal will be an absolute mess for the Boilermakers as well. Any player worth their salt will have offers and opportunities for ZERO money and it would be foolish not to accept them. I wish them all the best.

I hope this is the last game Ryan Walters coaches Purdue. I can’t take much more.

Kyle:

Fire them all. There’s no need to react to something I’ve become so used to. I took IU -39.5 on Fanatics because it was the highest I could go.

See you in 2025 and HOPEFULLY a change in leadership.

Jed:

As an alumni and former member of AAMB, I am embarrassed to call myself a fan of this football program at this time. Being beaten by your two biggest rivals, 66-7 and 66-0, is grounds for immediate firing. Ryan Walters now has the two worst losses in program history.

Ryan Walters should no longer be allowed to serve as head coach at Purdue University, and that call should come sooner rather than later. Just an absolute embarrassment on every level from a head coach who has shown no ability whatsoever to justify a third season at the helm. If you don’t fire him because of this 1-11 season, there’s no reason how far you’ll let the program fall. If you’re going to give him a third season after this one, you might as well make a statement that the AD, Board of Trustees and President have decided that results don’t matter.

I never thought that in my lifetime Darrel Hazel would ever become the worst head coach in Purdue history. I didn’t see it until 11 years later. Ryan Walters is posting the worst season in Purdue football history and possibly the worst this century for the B1G. Therefore, allow me to take back my original statement. I’m ashamed of Ryan Walters and that he may have to show his face on campus again at some point.

The English language doesn’t have a word to adequately describe this game or this season, but the German language does…total failure. Yes, this was as close to a total failure as you will ever experience in any aspect of your life. If you ever feel bad, just remember this game and know that things can always get worse. I don’t know what else to say, that was bad football, played by a bad team, led by a bad coach, and I have no idea what will happen to this program in the future. To be honest, I’m looking forward to the next few weeks more than any game in the last half of the season and I really like football. The only positive thing about this game is that I won’t have to watch another one for a while.

Ryan:

We all know I’m a Bears fan. They fired their head coach against all expectations. Can Purdue follow suit? Please.
