Former University of Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold has signed a contract to play at Auburn after a source confirmed to KOCO earlier this month that he planned to enter the transfer portal. >> Download the KOCO 5 app Auburn posted a video of Arnold on social media Saturday, announcing his involvement. “This place is special and there is no other place I would rather be,” Arnold said in the video. The quarterback played two seasons at OU. Arnold started in nine of OU’s 12 games in the 2024 season. He had a back-and-forth with freshman Michael Hawkins Jr. midway through the season. Hawkins was the starting quarterback for OU when they beat Auburn that season. “The fit he has for our offense and for Auburn, I couldn’t be more excited,” Auburn coach Hugh Freeze said in a news release. “He’s a dual-threat guy who understands the RPO system very well and throws the ball deep. “Very well.” The Sooners will play Auburn on Sept. 20, 2025, in Norman. Former University of Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold has signed a contract to play at Auburn after a source confirmed to KOCO earlier this month that he planned to enter the transfer portal.

Auburn posted a video of Arnold announcing his commitment on social media Saturday.

“This place is special and there is no other place I would rather be,” Arnold said in the video.

The quarterback played two seasons at OU. Arnold started nine of OU’s 12 games during the 2024 season.
