Raiders-Buccaneers live updates score – Silver And Black Pride

Here are some live updates from the Las Vegas Raiders’ game at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday:

First quarter

  • On the first drive of the game, Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans caught a 15-yard pass from Baker Mayfield, beating rookie cornerback Decamerion Richardson. The rookie has struggled since taking over for the injured Jakorian Bennett last month. Later in the drive, the Buccaneers scored on third-and-8 yards and Mayfield hit Evans for seven yards, then converted on a four-and-one from the Raiders’ 37, setting up a touchdown drive as Tampa Bay trailed by 7 with 8:07 left :0 went into the quarter in the lead.
  • The Raiders were terrible in their first offensive attack with a failed deep pass, a stuffed run attempt and a sack.
  • Then AJ Cole had a rare bad punt that put the Buccaneers in business and gave them a 14-0 lead. What a bad start in all three phases for Silver and Black.
  • The Buccaneers averaged 8.1 yards per play on their first two drives.
  • Another penalty from rookie center Jackson Powers-Johnson helped end the Raiders’ second period. The boy is good, but he needs to eliminate the penalties.
  • The Raiders had a 140-yard lead in the first quarter.

Second quarter

  • Raiders pass rusher K’Lavon Chaisson made a great play on an interception to finally give the Raiders some life and the ball in Buccaneers territory. But on the very next play, Raiders quarterback Aidan O’Connell fumbled the snap and gave the ball right back to Tampa Bay.
  • Then Mayfield fumbled the ball right back to the Raiders. It was the Raiders’ first fumble recovery this season.
  • The Raiders capitalized on Mayfield’s second fumble by scoring a touchdown to make it 14-7 after a first-and-goal after a pass interference call on third-and-goal. Tampa Bay leads 14-7 with 9:21 left in the first half.
  • Adam Butler got a big sack against Mayfield. The defense allowed just 28 yards on the last three drives.
  • Tampa Bay’s star safety Antoine Winfield left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury.
  • Tampa Bay running back Bucky Irving was also injured, injuring his back in the second quarter.
  • Butler was injured in the second quarter.
  • Ameer Abdullah had a nice punt return near midfield and Sincere McCormick had a 29-yard run on third-and-1 to put the Raiders in business. The Raiders scored a field goal to cut Tampa Bay’s lead to 14-10 with 3:10 left in the first half.
  • The Raiders had three sacks in the first half.
  • Jack Jones parried a terrible throw from Mayfield with 25 seconds left.

Third quarter

  • While the Raiders were feeding junior running back Sincere McCormick, they began the second half with a 10-minute, 20-second drive to the Tampa Bay 10. But O’Connell made a terrible throw that was deflected near the end zone. What a brutal way to end a long ride.
  • Abdullah had another strong punt return to give the Raiders the ball at their 48 after a fifth straight stop by the Las Vegas defense. But O’Connell threw another rash ball which was intercepted and ruined another chance. However, officials overturned the call and gave the Raiders new life.
  • O’Connell was injured and carted to the locker room, where he was ruled out with a knee injury.

Fourth quarter

  • The Raiders stopped the Buccaneers for six straight drives.
  • Desmond Ridder replaced O’Connell and fumbled the snap on his second play, and then the Raiders went out on a three-pointer.
  • The Buccaneers’ offense exploded with a 32-yard pass and 34-yard run to set up a short touchdown and take a 21-10 lead with 8:47 left.
