Raiders player found passed out in driver’s seat before arrest for drunk driving

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Charles Snowden was found passed out behind the wheel of his car once He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcoholsays a police report.

Officers arrested Snowden, 26, on Tuesday, Dec. 10, on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor.

In an impaired driving report, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said they were called to a report of a suspicious vehicle found in the area of ​​Rainbow Boulevard and Sunset Road around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Responding officers found Snowden “unconscious behind the wheel” of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. According to the report, the engine was running and the car was idling.

They knocked on the door and window to wake Snowden. The officers wrote that he would “look around but didn’t seem to see the officers and went back to sleep.”

Police knocked for about 10 minutes until Snowden unbuckled and got out of the car. They reported that he was “unsteady on his feet and had to be held up.”

According to the report, Snowden also did not have a wallet or ID with him.

Medical staff responded because Snowden was unable to stay awake or answer questions, and as he was being placed on a stretcher, one of the officers reported smelling an unknown alcoholic beverage.

Snowden was released on his own recognizance. He is now due back in court for an arraignment hearing on Tuesday, Dec. 17, after a Las Vegas Justice Court judge requested an earlier hearing.

The Raiders have not commented on Snowden’s arrest and it is unclear whether he has an attorney.
