Rain showers are expected after the threat of tornadoes has passed

Upstate South Carolina could see scattered showers Sunday after an active morning with multiple tornado warnings in the area and region. The warnings began around 6:15 a.m. and ended around 9:15 a.m. and were issued throughout the Upstate and western North Carolina. No tornadoes have been confirmed at this time. While the severe threat has passed, some areas could see some rain as temperatures rise into the 60s. Monday will briefly dry out behind the front, with highs in the mid 60s, lows in the 40s and mostly sunny. However, patchy showers are possible on New Year’s Eve Tuesday. The warnings began around 6:15 a.m. and ended around 9:15 a.m. and were issued throughout the Upstate and western North Carolina.

No tornadoes have been confirmed at this time.

While the severe threat has passed, some areas could experience rainfall with temperatures in the 60s.

Monday will dry out briefly behind the front, with highs in the 60s, lows in the 40s and mostly sunny.

Spotty showers are possible on New Year’s Eve Tuesday, but the chance is only 50%, not as high as this weekend.
