Randy Moss is asking for prayers after revealing he is in the midst of a health crisis.

“During the holiday week your boy was struggling with something internal,” Moss said on Instagram this Sunday. “I just ask all prayer warriors to extend their blessing hands to me and my family during these difficult times.”

Moss’ news came a week after fans commented on his unusual appearance during last week’s show.

“I have a great medical team and family around me,” Moss continued, before encouraging viewers to take care of themselves. “Do all your checkups, do your blood work, and we’ll take care of it.”

Moss wore sunglasses during the broadcast and explained his reasons for wearing these accessories.

“All right, when you see me with my Michigan turnover glasses on, you all know what I’m struggling with. God bless you all. Thank you for the prayers,” he said. “There will be people who are worried and asking questions. For now, I’ll just keep a lot of things private. Just be patient with me. But like I said, I need your prayers.”

Moss reiterated his views on the live broadcast of NFL countdown on Sunday and let fans know that seeing him wearing sunglasses again during the show is not a sign of disrespect. Instead, he simply needs people to pray for him.

The 47-year-old played 14 seasons in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers.
