NFL legend Randy Moss says he is “struggling” with health issues and urged his fans to send him “prayers.”

The former wide receiver, who now works as a pundit, posted two videos to Instagram on Sunday to explain why he wore tinted sunglasses during his television appearances this week.

“Throughout the holiday week your boy was battling something internal,” he said in a video, along with the caption, “Get (your) checkups done.”

Moss, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018, then addressed the topic at the start of ESPN’s coverage of the Sunday NFL Countdown.

“I just wanted to share something with all of you,” said the 47-year-old.

“I posted a post on Instagram maybe a few minutes ago to tell people – you guys were talking about my eyes last week – and I just want to let viewers know that me and my wife, me and my family, we struggling with something inside.

“I have some great doctors around me. I couldn’t miss the show, I wanted to be here with you.”

The analyst appeared to be in high spirits as he joked with his colleagues on the show and said he was feeling “great.”

This comes after concerns grew last week when viewers noticed Moss’ eyes appeared yellow. Since then, he has worn sunglasses when appearing on television.

Moss plays for the San Francisco 49ers in Atlanta, Georgia on January 20, 2013.

“It’s not disrespectful,” he said on Sunday’s show. “Because I’m on TV. I’m fighting something. I need all the prayer warriors. God bless you all and thank you for the prayers.”

Moss didn’t reveal any details about what he was fighting.

The NFL legend played 14 seasons in the league, most notably with the Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots.

Considered one of the greatest wide receivers in the history of the game, he was named first-team All-Pro four times and led the NFL in touchdowns with five.

Over the course of his outstanding career, Moss had 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns.
