Roope Hintz scored the equalizer in the third period and Thomas Harley scored two goals as host Dallas Stars cruised to a 6-2 victory over the Calgary Flames on Sunday.

Jason Robertson scored once and added an assist, while Wyatt Johnston and Evgenii Dadonov each scored once and Oskar Back picked up two assists for the Stars, who suffered a two-game losing streak. Goalkeeper Jake Oettinger made 29 saves.

Jonathan Huberdeau and Connor Zary responded for the Flames, who have one win in seven games. Goaltender Dustin Wolf stopped 22 shots.

Dallas has a home record of 11-2-0, the best home win percentage in the league.

With the score tied at 2-2, Hintz raced away on a two-on-one rush and completed a give-and-go with Esa Lindell at 5:13 of the final frame for his fifth goal in his last nine games.

Two goals from Steel and Harley 61 seconds apart midway through the third period extended Dallas’ lead, and Harley rounded out the score by scoring his second goal with 58 seconds left in the game.

Before the outbreak in the third half, both clubs gave it their all and then gave up the lead again before the second break. Huberdeau opened the scoring 60 seconds into the game with a one-time pass from Nazem Kadri during an odd rush for his ninth goal of the season.

Johnston responded at 4:26 of the first frame by taking advantage of a turnover at the Calgary blue line, weaving through a pair of defenders and then firing a short-handed shot for the sixth time this season.

Robertson gave the Stars a 2-1 lead at 7:47 of the second period, his sixth of the season and first in nine games. Robertson blocked a check during a two-on rush and fired a shot home from the slot.

However, Zary equalized at 16:08 of the middle frame, pouncing on a rebound at the front door for the sixth time this season.

The Flames, who have gone a franchise-record 25 games without scoring more than three goals in regulation, are winless in eight road games and have a 3-7-4 record away from Stampede City.
