Rutland firefighter Patrick Sullivan’s wife and newborn baby have died

Rutland firefighter Patrick Sullivan’s wife and newborn children have died.

Ciara Sullivan, 30, and twins James and Elizabeth, born December 16, were on life support after an emergency C-section.

The situation sparked an outpouring of support from the Rutland community and firefighters across the region. A vigil was held Thursday evening at the Rutland Town Common.

Patrick has worked for the city for 13 years, as a dispatcher and as a firefighter/EMS for two years.
