Rutland holds vigil for mother’s family and newborns on life support – Boston News, Weather, Sports

RUTLAND, MASS. (WHDH) – The Rutland community came together Thursday for a prayer vigil for a mother and her newborn twins who are on life support and in need of a miracle.

Patrick and Ciara Sullivan met while working as emergency dispatchers. Their love story is almost perfect if you ask Patrick, who has been in the hospital by his wife’s side since December 16th.

A few hours before her scheduled caesarean section to deliver her twins, Ciara suffered a serious medical emergency and was rushed to hospital. The twins, a boy and a girl, were delivered and immediately placed on life support.

This also applies to Ciara, who is only 30 years old.

Now Patrick, a local firefighter, must deal with the unimaginable.

All three will be taken off life support on Friday.

Sullivan spoke to 7NEWS from the hospital and told us about the love of his life.

“I’ve said this a few times…since I’ve been here, but she’s without a doubt the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” he said. “She is the most loving, open-minded and charitable person I have ever met in my life.”

He added: “I think I know they will be together again soon. They tell me none of them are in pain.”
