Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan are splitting up after a year of dating

Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan “recently” called it quits after a year of dating, Page Six can confirm.

On Tuesday, an insider told People that the 25-year-old “Espresso” singer and the 32-year-old “Saltburn” star “have decided to take a break.”

“They are both young and career-focused,” the source said.

Representatives for Carpenter and Keoghan did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The news comes four months after the duo were first hit by breakup rumors. In August, People reported that the couple’s relationship was “up and down.”

Although they seemingly hit rock bottom over the summer, Page Six exclusively reported in September that Keoghan showed up to support Carpenter while she rehearsed for her performance at the 2024 MTV Music Video Awards.

The former couple first became romantically involved in December 2023 after being spotted on a dinner date in Los Angeles.

A month later, they seemingly confirmed their romance after an eyewitness saw them sharing a “little kiss” while visiting an interactive museum in LA.

Although they shied away from speaking publicly about the nature of their relationship, they often subtly supported each other’s career aspirations.

In April, Keoghan traveled to Palm Springs to catch Carpenter’s Coachella set before spending the rest of the weekend with pals Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

A few months later, the then-couple caused a stir on the internet when he starred in the pop star’s “Please Please Please” music video.

Carpenter reflected on her decision to name him as her love interest in a recent interview with “CBS Sunday Morning.”

“I really asked – not even a biased opinion – ‘Who is the best actor I can find for this music video?'” she recalled in October. “And he was sitting on a chair next to me. And he was so excited about it!”

The following month, Keoghan gave Carpenter similar praise during an appearance on The Louis Theroux Podcast.

“I am incredibly blessed. (She is) such a strong, independent woman who is hugely talented and very special,” the notoriously private actor said of the singer.

The Grammy nominee was previously linked to Joshua Bassett and Shawn Mendes. Keoghan now has a two-year-old son, Brando, with his ex-girlfriend Alyson Sandro.
