After the hit, Hill was carried off the field in a cart. The entire crowd erupted in cheers as Hill showed he was fine. Still, the injury appeared to be quite serious and he needs to be examined after the hit.

Hill often plays as a tight end, running back, quarterback and wide receiver. He continues to showcase a unique hybrid offensive role that results in points for the Saints. Now he’s likely out after suffering what appears to be a brutal leg injury.

Admittedly, this is just speculation and more information will be released about the actual significance of the injury. The usual case of players being deported tends to result in multiple missed weeks, although this is just an assumption.

In 2024, there were players who were sent off or appeared to have suffered serious injuries, but by and large they only sustained minor injuries. The Saints are probably hoping that will be the case with Hill.

Hill has secured 150 receiving yards on 18 receptions, 268 rushing yards, six touchdowns on 34 carries and 21 passing yards.

This is the second serious injury Hill has suffered in 2024. Earlier this season, the hybrid offensive star missed several games after suffering a serious chest injury that appeared to be an abdominal and rib injury.

Hill has overcome a lot of adversity in 2024, but he is one of the most consistent players in the league. While it’s believed he would miss the remainder of the 2024 season, it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising if he returned as well.

Hill’s return on Sunday against the Rams is considered questionable for now, and further tests will be conducted to determine the severity of the injury the offensive star suffered. Since the Saints are 4-7 this season, it is unlikely that they will make the playoffs in 2024.

While the Saints aren’t eliminated yet, they probably wouldn’t want to take a chance on Hill should he want to return at some point.
