The show begins with a gentle retro voiceover telling the story of Saturday Night’s main event.

Go to a video package and click through the channels on an old CRT TV until you find an introduction to the show, which is made up of old footage and gives way to a real retro-style opening video package called “Obsession.”

Commentary shows tonight’s card over the usual montage of talent arriving at the arena.

Joe Tessitore welcomes Jesse “the Body” Ventura to the show and talks about coming back to WWE after all this time and so on and so forth.

Pat McAfee joins Michael Cole at the commentary desk.

Drew McIntyre vs Sami Zayn

McIntyre runs out of the gate, punches in the corner, Zayn catches him in the turnbuckles with a flurry of mounted punches and clotheslines him to the floor! Kicks from the apron, Arab presses Asai Moonsault to connect! Back in, low bridge, Sami with a plancha but Drew catches him and throws him over the announce table!

Back from commercial, belly-to-belly suplex by McIntyre, mounted punches, Zayn catches him, Helluva kick blocked, spinebuster into a jackknife pin but Sami kicks out! Drew follows him with a Liger Bomb, a Fireman Carry, head up… SAMI ZAYN COUNTER AVALANCHE SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB, BUT DREW KICKS OUT!

Looking for the Blue Thunder Driver trying to stand up McIntyre and Drew headbutts him! Claymore attempt, countered… BLUE THUNDER DRIVER CAN’T MAKE IT! A bit back and forth…

Drew McIntyre wins by pinfall with Claymore.

Damage CTRL runs backstage to send us to break.


Back from commercial we see Tito Santana, Rich Hering and “Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart in the front row.

IYO SKY vs. Liv Morgan (c) (WWE Women’s World Championship)

Morgan charges early with back elbows, SKY cuts her off with a dropkick, follows with the flapjack and covers for two! To the apron, IYO wants a German suplex, Liv fights her off, powerbomb is denied, penalty kick from SKY! Asai Moonsault follows him, she’s hot and we’re on our way!

Back from commercial, IYO with a pair of shotei, dropkick sends Morgan to the floor, she’s hot, off the ropes, suicide dive lands true! Back in, cover for two, corner knees avoided and Liv hits the lung blower! Diving Codebreaker follows, cover… NO! HEAVEN with rolling German suplexes, bridging on the third… STILL NO!

Once on top, Morgan cuts her off with a shoulder armbreaker off the apron and IYO gets back up but slips and Liv hits another codebreaker for a two count! SKY with a small package, Morgan an enzuigiri, IYO puts her in an arm trap crossface! Reversal into a short arm knee reversed, corner knee joints connect!!

SKY went up and crouched…BOOTS UP TO COUNTER THE MOON SAULT! IYO on the ropes, Liv right on top of her…

Liv Morgan wins by pinfall with Oblivion to retain the WWE Women’s World Championship.

After the game, as Judgment Day leaves, Rhea Ripley performs!

She comes clean with Liv, Morgan holds up her title and that’s it.

And so we take a break.


Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor vs. GUNTHER (c) (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

Balor jumps out and charges back in as soon as GUNTHER and Priest get in the way, but they overpower him and send him flying! Damian with an uppercut that puts the Ring General on the apron, forearms and kicks knocking him to the floor! Off the ropes, big dive and we get to work!

Back from commercial, Balor tries a whip on Priest, blocks it and hits him with his big elbows right on Finn’s dome! Damian shoots into the corner, but GÜNTHER returns with boots for his two challengers! Balor comes off the ropes, Ring General staggers him with a chop, but Finn hits the Pele Kick and Priest wipes them both out with a double clothesline!

The champion got up first, a big blow to Damian, who returned with force and in triplicate! Kicks and a rolling elbow for Balor! Back elbows from corner to corner, superkick to Finn, GUNTHER drops him on the apron with the back body! Knucklelock, Priest on top, ropewalk crossbody on the ring General! Reverse STO on Balor… JUST A NEARFALL!

Gojira Clutch is applied to Finn, Damian takes her into a pinfall for Balor, but the Ring General kicks out! Gojira attacks the Priest, goes back to the hold with his elbows, applies the body scissors, but Damian fights back to his feet! Snapmare rolls him away, Damian is hot, South of Heaven on the champion!

Finn hits the inverted headlock elbow drop on Priest, followed by a shotgun dropkick on top, but GUNTHER pushes him in the crotch! The champion fights for position at the top, Damian cuts him off and hits the Razor’s Edge! Finn with the coup de grace… DAMIAN PRIEST breaks it up! Sunset flip for two, South of Heaven on Balor, GUNTHER pulls Priest off the cover by his topknot!

On the floor, Gojira clutch engaged, elbow overhead… POWERBOMB INTO THE STEEL STEP! Call General back inside, dropkick Finn with the shotgun, Tenryu Powerbomb…IT’S OVER!

GUNTHER wins by pinfall with the Tenryu Powerbomb to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
