Saturday pairings for round 3

Recommended start time for round 3

If there was any speculation that world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler would show signs of rust after an extended break from competitive golf, his performance in the first two rounds of the Hero World Challenge has certainly allayed those concerns.

After his 67 in the opening round on Thursday, Scheffler shot a sizzling 64 on Friday, eight under par, the lowest round of the day to move to the top of the leaderboard at 13 under par. Akshay Bhatia and Justin Thomas are two shots behind at 11 under par, while Keegan Bradley is alone in fourth place at nine under par.

Although there is still a lot of golf to be played, Scheffler has a strong track record at Hero, with one win and two runner-up finishes in his last three appearances.

Scheffler and Bhatia will play in the final pair on Saturday at 12:49 p.m. ET.
