Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf spoke out about the physical altercation between him and Chicago Bears defensive back Tyrique Stevenson on Thursday.

“I’m a grown man,” Metcalf said, via Jane Slater of the NFL Network. “My emotions are under control. Like I said, it’s a physical game out there. Especially when I’m out there. I will test the DB.”

The two-time Pro Bowl receiver previously found it difficult to control his emotions as he was fined five times during the 2023 season, including for unnecessary roughness, unsportsmanlike conduct and blindside block violations (via Spotrac).

While Metcalf has done a better job in 2024, he was also fined $11,255 for unnecessary roughness during Seattle’s 29-20 loss to the New York Giants in Week 5.

Entering Sunday’s game, the 27-year-old had 60 receptions for 897 yards and four touchdowns.
