Seahawks vs. Bears: Thursday Night Football Fantasy Football Overview

You can watch “Thursday Night Football: Seahawks vs. Bears” at 8:20 p.m. ET/5:20 p.m. PT on Amazon Prime Video.

This Thursday Night Football match is the last of the season and is even more important than usual because it is the championship round. Yes, we just had football on Wednesday, and if you play for the Ship, you probably had a few Ravens or maybe a Texans or two on your roster.

Well, how about some bears and sea hawks? Hmm, maybe, maybe not. It’s like benching DJ Moore and DK Metcalf in the most important fantasy game of the year after spending likely big picks on them? Hopefully you have other, better options if you need to make that call. Or maybe you were lucky enough to sign Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who looks exactly how we’ve always wanted… including fantasy playoff hero.

Yes, there are key fantasy players on both sides tonight. Let’s get to the history of the tape.

Kenneth Walker III returned to the starting role in Week 16, but suffered an ankle injury (in addition to his existing calf injury). As a result, he was ruled out of the game tonight.

If you’re a Charbonnet manager, congratulations – you may be one step closer to winning your fantasy championship.

We can be brief. Get Charbonnet going tonight because he’ll be taking on a Bears defense that has been vulnerable against running backs all season but has looked particularly poor overall lately. Charbonnet appears to be a workhorse for the Seahawks, a role he excelled in at times in Walker’s place this season.

It seems no one told Keenan Allen that he was 32 years old, that it was 2024, and that he should only play third fiddle to his rookie quarterback. Instead, Allen has turned back the clock to deliver some vintage performances of late.

He has scored five goals in his last five games, including three games with more than 13 goals in that span. Not only is this good, but it’s also the use of receivers in elite fantasy football. Of course, we have to address the elephant in the room: those big games? They all faced the same two opponents: the Lions and the Vikings, two teams known for scoring a lot while leaving the production to opposing wide receivers.

Nonetheless, the Bears have often been chasing the score this season, and given the performance of their defense, it won’t be surprising if Caleb Williams throws a ton again, and Keenan Allen throws a ton. The Seahawks may still have some motivation to miraculously make the playoffs, reinforcing the idea that the game script will benefit the Bears’ passing game, however unsuccessful it may be (hey, just give us the volume, or?). It also helps that the Seahawks’ biggest defensive weakness is at cornerback. Things are heating up for Allen in the fantasy championship.
