Shane Gillis, the College GameDay team picks the match between Indiana and Notre Dame

College GameDay took place before a historic College Football Playoff game between Indiana and Notre Dame live from South Bend, Indiana.

This year, for the first time, 12 teams will take part in the playoffs. And the expansion will introduce CFP games on campus during the first round.

Notre Dame has the pleasure of hosting its first-ever home playoff game in Friday’s game against the Hoosiers, and it’s a banner night for Indiana State. To kick off the evening, ESPN’s pre-game show was broadcast live from the home of the Fighting Irish, with tips still to be made.

Joining the GameDay crew for Friday’s show will be popular comedian Shane Gillis. Gillis appeared in a number of Bud Light commercials throughout the college football season, including a humorous college football-themed spot that debuted before the season.

Although Friday’s game is the first of its kind, it is just the tip of the iceberg for a college football weekend of massive proportions. First-round games continue Saturday with SMU at Penn State, Clemson at Texas and Tennessee at Ohio State.
