Sharks at Kraken (Game 27): Lines, game thread and how to watch

Sharks at Kraken (Game 27): Lines, game thread and how to watch

The San Jose Sharks took a quick flight to Seattle yesterday to prepare for another showdown with the Seattle Kraken. The Sharks defeated the Kraken 8-5 on Friday, taking advantage of a weak Philipp Grubaur. It’s almost certain that Grubaur won’t be in the net tonight when the two teams meet again, this time at Climate Pledge Arena.

The Sharks were narrowly outplayed, but the team wasn’t outplayed, so that’s the good news. The Sharks need to clean up their game and avoid penalties if they want to win the second game of this back-to-back series. The Sharks conceded six penalties and conceded two goals yesterday despite losing a player. At the same time, the team only conceded one penalty.

As for the Kraken, head coach Dan Bylsma’s biggest message after the game seemed to be taking care of the puck. Bylsma was clearly dejected in his post-game interview. The Kraken have lost two tough games in a row and need to figure out how to turn things around quickly if they want to have any chance of making the postseason. It’s clear that something has to happen in the locker room if Seattle expects a better result tonight.

Tonight it’s the San Jose Sharks

While we’re not sure, barring injuries, we don’t expect any major changes in the lineup tonight. The players who were in the bubble, likely Klim Kostin and Ethan Cardwell, performed well last night and secured another start.

Expect the same lines as yesterday with Mackenzie Blackwood in net this time around.

Forward
William Eklund – Macklin Celebrini – Fabian Zetterlund
Tyler Toffoli – Mikael Granlund – Will Smith
Ty Dellandrea – Alex Wennberg – Ethan Cardwell
Luke Kunin – Nico Sturm – Carl Grundstrom

defense
Jake Walman – Cody Ceci
Mario Ferraro – Timothy Liljegren
Henry Thrun – Jan Rutta

goalkeeper
Mackenzie Blackwood
Vitek Vanecek

Seattle Kraken Lines vs. San Jose Sharks November 30, 2024

We expect a net change for the Kraken. We also suspect Sprong will be back considering how poorly the team played yesterday. Sprong was a healthy scratch last game.

This is what we think the lines will look like tonight.

Forward
Jared McCann – Matty Beniers – Andre Burakovsky
Jaden Schwartz – Chandler Stephenson – Daniel Sprong
Eeli Tolvanen – Shane Wright – Oliver Bjorkstrand
Ty Kartye – Yanni Gourde – Brandon Tanev

defense
Ryker Evans-Adam Larsson
Jamie Oleksiak – Brandon Montour
Joshua Mahura – Will Borgen

goalkeeper
Joey Daccord
Philipp Grubauer
