Signs of life? Astral projection claims pyramid, major road spotted on ancient Mars

As NASA continues its exploration of life on Mars, a declassified CIA document suggests such a discovery may have been made 40 years ago by an unconventional method. The document, titled “Mars Exploration May 22, 1984,” claims that astral projection – a technique in which a person’s consciousness is believed to travel beyond the physical body – began around a million years BCE. was used to send a person to Mars.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, this experiment was part of it Project Stargatea covert U.S. Army program created in 1977 to study paranormal phenomena such as telepathy, psychokinesis, and remote viewing. Participants in the program completed sessions using binaural beats and Hemi-Sync audio to enhance their psychic abilities and achieve altered states of consciousness.
During the Mars experiment, the subject reportedly saw “a slanted view of a pyramid” and “a very large street,” as well as a monument that bore similarities to those of ancient Egypt. The subject also observed “very tall, thin people” dressed in silk-like, close-fitting clothing. “It’s beyond their time or their age,” the subject recounted, describing a civilization on the verge of collapse and searching for a new home as its environment deteriorated. “They’re looking for a way to survive, but they just can’t.”
The document states that the subject was guided to specific Martian coordinates, where he observed structures designed for “hibernation in some form” as well as chaotic storms devastating the landscape. The creatures, called the dying population, were reportedly waiting to be rescued or departed. “It’s like I’m getting all sorts of overwhelming information about the…corruption of those around them,” the person said.
The person also claimed to have witnessed the Martians embarking on a journey to another planet aboard a “larger boat.” This destination, described as volatile with active volcanoes and strange vegetation, seemed inhospitable and offered little respite from their plight.
Project Stargate, which conducted this experiment, was conducted out of Fort Meade, Maryland. Designed to use extrasensory perception (ESP) for intelligence purposes during the Cold War, the project explored unconventional methods to locate hostages, track down criminals, and collect military intelligence. However, the program was officially discontinued in 1995, with mixed reviews about its success.
Although the Mars exploration document was declassified in 2017, it has recently resurfaced and sparked new interest. The filing states that the subject’s assignment was determined using “a sealed envelope containing geographic coordinates.” The envelope contained the instruction: “The planet Mars. Time of interest about one million B.C. BC.”
While the claims remain controversial, the report highlights the US government’s Cold War-era interest in using unconventional methods to gather information, combining science fiction with reality.
