Sir Elton John reveals what he wants his legacy to be

He said on “Good Morning America,” “My music speaks for itself. My legacy is that I was a great husband and an even better father.”

“The music, the career is fantastic. It was overwhelming and groundbreaking. But the most important thing for me in my life is to make sure that my children are happy, that they have a wonderful life and that I have been good to them. That’s all that matters.”

The “Crocodile Rock” hitmaker has sold 300 million records since forming in 1970 and recently completed his five-year album, “Farewell Yellow Brick Road.”

He wears oversized, red-tinted glasses and is quoted by various media outlets as saying: “As some of you may know, I have had problems and now I have lost my sight. I didn’t get to see the performance, but I enjoyed it.”

Praising his wife, he added, “To my husband, who is my rock because I couldn’t get to many of the previews… I have a hard time watching it, but I love hearing it, and “It sounded good tonight.” Okay. Thanks for coming!”
