“SNL” host Chris Rock takes on Elon Musk in a monologue

Chris Rock opens Saturday Night Live with a joke about how Lorne Michaels had 25 good years out of 50 on the late night show, before making jokes about the alleged CEO killer and talking about how it hasn’t been a good year for black people in America.

“I mean, we have Luigi,” Rock joked about the arrest of Luigi Mangione, the suspect in the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. “Everyone is fixated on how good-looking this guy is. If you look like Jonah Hill, no one would care. I already gave him the chair. He actually killed a man, a man with a family. I have real condolences for the CEO of Health Care. I mean, this is a real person. But you know, you also have to go, sometimes drug dealers get shot. You saw it The wireRight?”

He also launched into a series of cheers about how it was a “bad year for my people, Black people.” He brought up Kamala Harris’ defeat in the polls, but also criticized Jake Paul bashing Mike Tyson on Netflix.

“A 27-year-old beats a 60-year-old? Is this what the white man has reduced himself to? Who will he fight next, Morgan Freeman? I hate Jake Paul. I hate him like cocaine hates monogamy.”

Rock also responded to President-elect Donald Trump a few times by saying, “It could happen to a nicer guy.” But then he suggested that Trump isn’t the only bad actor in the White House.

“Come on, man, this isn’t the most dignified job in the world. We’ve had presidents show up to inaugurations with pregnant slaves, okay? And I’m just talking about Bill Clinton. I mean, you know what country we live in. You know the history of this country. Do you know how many rapists are in my wallet right now? A cup of coffee in America costs seven rapists.”

He also said that Trump would begin deportations while working with “the number one African American in the world, the richest African American in the world, Elon Musk.” Musk comes from South Africa.

“That’s right, he’s African American,” Rock continued. “Elon has more kids than the Cleveland Browns. Nobody knows how to get rid of people that well.”

The latter elicited groans from the audience.

The Menendez brothers were also criticized by Trump for potentially being released from prison just in time to be deported.
