Sonic 3 isn’t even out yet, but Sonic 4 is officially underway and heading toward a 2027 release date: “This isn’t a drill”

According to Variety, Sonic 4 is officially slated for a 2027 release.

The news comes just a day before Sonic 3’s official theatrical premiere, signaling that Paramount is pleased with the threequel’s early reviews. Variety reports that “Sonic 3” is expected to gross $55 million to $60 million in 3,800 North American theaters this holiday season (and that’s just the domestic box office), so another sequel will be greenlit soon.
