South Carolina Gamecocks experience bowl destination

The South Carolina Gamecocks (9-3) are ranked 15th in the final regular-season College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings. The 15th-ranked Gamecocks have been selected to participate in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on Tuesday, December 31 in Orlando, Florida, where they will face the 20th-ranked Illinois Fighting Illini. The South Carolina Gamecocks (9-3) finished the regular season with a six-game winning streak and enter the bowl season with their highest win total since 2013. On the other side of the game is Bret Bielema and the Fighting Illini (9-3) will enter the Citrus Bowl on a four-game winning streak and seeking their first bowl victory since 2011. This will be the first-ever football matchup between South Carolina and Illinois. The Cheez-It Citrus Bowl premieres Tuesday, December 31 at 3 p.m. on ABC.
