“Squid Game” Season 2 End Credits Scene: Second Puppet Explained

If you made it to the end Squid game During the Season 2 finale, you may have been so taken aback by the ending that you watched the credits, frozen in shock. The short scene shows some players (numbers 096, 100 and 353) approaching Young-hee, the killer doll from the red light-green game, from behind. But she is not alone: ​​another giant doll, a boy in a hat and a striped shirt, stands opposite her. A traffic light flashes from red to green before the scene cuts out.

Without sharing too much, Squid game Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk briefly explained this preview Weekly entertainment.

“This is actually a sneak peek of Cheol-su, who like Young-hee is a new giant puppet that we will introduce in Season 3,” he said. “And that is also a reference to the most exciting game of the third season. Even though it hasn’t been shared yet, I hope everyone is excited to get to know Cheol-su and the new game.”

Season 2 featured new games including “Mingle” and a six-legged pentathlon with mini-games such as “Ddakji” (where players flip red and blue tiles), “Spinning Top” and “Gonggi” (like Jacks). It appears that next season a game will feature not one but two killer dolls, meaning it could be twice as deadly as the others.

“The first game, ‘Red Light, Green Light,’ was a children’s game played mostly in the alleys in the ’70s and ’80s,” Chae said in a behind-the-scenes video from the first season. “We referred to the illustrations of Cheolsoo and Younghee from textbooks when making the robot.”

When asked which of the two robots kills more people, Hwang answered deadline in 2022 “Young-hee. She’s the murderer.” He added with a laugh, “Cheol-su is just a buddy.”

However, that was two years ago when Hwang was “still writing the script,” so things may have changed since then.
