Here’s the ultimate recap of the Season 2 finale of Squid game.

So, wait, there was a big fight right before that…

After a brawl breaks out in the men’s room, leaving three players who voted “yes” in the last round of voting dead and two players who voted “no” dead, Gi-hun tells his allies, that the guards have set up a special evening where they allow players to attack each other. He devises a strategy where they all lie down during the fight for survival and then attack the guards when they try to scan their chips. As another bloody frenzy breaks out, killing players on both sides, Gi-hun’s plan comes to fruition as they begin attacking and killing the invading guards. They let one live in the hope that he will take them to the main control center.

Meanwhile, on the boat, Captain Park is seen manipulating the drone by one of Jun-ho’s men. The captain kills him and throws him overboard before he is seen by Woo-seok, who buys his story that he was out there looking for strange noises from the storm.

What happens to them if they try to take power?

Hyun-ju (Player 120) uses her military background to lead the group on their way through the control room. However, a group of Pink Guards quickly find them and shoot at them, leaving Player 072 dead and Dae-ho (Player 388) panicking.

Gi-hun decides to move on, and while In-ho suggests going with him, Gi-hun decides to take Jung-bae instead. As the two walk up a purple hallway, they encounter more Pink Guards who begin to attack them. They try to fire back at them one by one, seemingly killing a few, but they soon run out of ammunition.

Dae-ho also doesn’t have enough ammo and decides to go back to the main room to get extra bullets that are in the dead Pink Guards’ pockets. However, when he returns there, he has a panic attack and is unable to return to give everyone else the bullets. Hyun-ju goes back to the main room to check on Dae-ho, but it’s too late as new Pink Guards arrive before she can return to the rest of the group.

What about those who have gone before?

In-ho leads players 047 and 015 up the purple stairs and through another side to help Gi-hun and Jung-bae take over the other side. However, he kills both players, forcing everyone to surrender, knowing they won’t make it to the control group. Players 145 and 246, Gyung-seok aka the father from the amusement park whose daughter is sick, are killed by the guards.

The frontman, back and masked, appears before Gi-hun and Jung-bae and asks Gi-hun if he played hero, noting that he must “witness the consequences of your little game” before shooting and killing Jung – bae.

The episode ends with Gi-hun witnessing the death of his best friend as the Pink Soldiers begin to crowd around him and the frontman walks away.
