Your first warning: warmer, then windy, then cold

After another cold day on Tuesday with highs in the upper 20s and lower 30s, we see a warm-up on Wednesday as highs reach the upper 30s and lower 40s. It’s a short warm-up, however, as a strong cold front sweeps in Wednesday afternoon and evening, bringing wind gusts of up to 40 mph and another shot of cold arctic air. Lows will be in the low teens Wednesday evening and highs will be in the mid to upper 20s Thursday and Friday. However, the weather remains calm in terms of precipitation. As the front passes, there is a chance of a few flurries or snow showers on Wednesday. Otherwise we’ll be dry next week.
