What happens in Submissiveness?

When Nick Peretti (Morrone) purchases a “home model,” Alice (Fox), from revolutionary AI robot company Kobol Industries, he’s desperate for help. His wife Maggie (Zima) recently fell ill with a life-threatening heart condition, leaving Nick in charge of the household. Alice specializes in cooking, cleaning and childcare and does all three with worrying ease – a huge relief for Nick, who is struggling to keep up with his young daughter Isla. At first, Alice fits in perfectly, fulfills her duties and gets closer to Isla. But soon Alice begins to act territorial towards Nick…almost like she’s jealous of Maggie.
