Supermodel dies aged 76 after suspected carbon monoxide leak

Actress and former supermodel Dayle Haddon died of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning on Friday, December 27, at the age of 76 People.

After receiving a 911 call, police arrived at the Pennsylvania home of Hallmark star (and Haddon’s son-in-law) Marc Blucas. The police report states that Haddon was found dead in a second-floor bedroom. Her toxicology report is still being completed to determine the official cause of death.

“The investigation indicates that a defective flue and gas heater exhaust pipe caused the carbon monoxide leak,” authorities said in an update on their department’s website.

Meanwhile, 76-year-old Walter Blucas was found unconscious on the first floor of the house and is currently in hospital for treatment. As ABC6 As reported, other family members were in the main house on the property and were not affected by the leak.

Before Haddon’s death, she appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated In 1973, he represented companies such as Revlon and Esteé Lauder and became a UNICEF ambassador.

Haddon’s daughter Ryan shared a heartfelt tribute to Instagram after receiving news of her mother’s death. She included recent photos of her mother as well as some of Haddon’s modeling pictures.

“She held up so many, saw that their greatness was sometimes hidden from them, and always used her own connections to build bridges to help them rise,” wrote Ryan Haddon. “She was everyone’s greatest champion. An inspiration for many.”

“I always trust the timing of things,” she added in the caption. “There are no coincidences and certainly how we enter and leave this world is mystical and unknowable. She was a generous spiritual being who valued the development of her soul, so I know that her journey here in this dimension must have been complete.”
