Sydney Sweeney fights back against body-shaming trolls with videos of her building muscle in the gym

Don’t mess with Sydney Sweeney – especially not at the gym.

The “Euphoria” star took to Instagram on Friday to hit back at the body-shaming trolls who have attacked her appearance online in recent weeks.

Sweeney, 27, shared a new video that shows several mean screenshots of various cyberbullies calling her everything from “too pale” to “frumpy” to “an average stocky Yankee girl.”

The clip then transitioned to footage of the actress lifting heavy weights in preparation for her latest role as famed boxer Christy Martin for an upcoming biopic.

As seen in the videos, the intense workout routine Sweeney completed to strengthen himself for the unnamed project includes tire changes, repeated cable pull-ups, and cardio-heavy boxing exercises.

Many of Sweeney’s fans quickly flooded her comments section to share encouraging and supportive messages amid the negative remarks.

“I guess they pull you no matter what you do,” one fan wrote. “You’re actually a great person.”

“There are A LOT of clowns who are not employed by the Sydney Circus. “Back in Delulu land stuck to their phones/keyboards,” said another social media user. “They only hate you because you’re a better person than them. Keep being great, we love the shit out of you.”

The post also caught the attention of “Bridgerton” alum Phoebe Dynevor, who commented “👊👊👊❤️” under the video.

Sweeney announced her role in the David Michôd-directed biopic in October after she was photographed in costume by paparazzi.

“Well the cats are out of the bag thanks to some bushes in the bushes so here are some BTS from my movie I’m working on,” the actress, who was recently photographed relaxing by the pool, said on Instagram at the time.

“Over the past few months, I have been training intensively to bring to life the story of an incredible woman – a true champion who fought battles both in and out of the ring. Her journey is a testament to resilience, strength and hope, and I am honored to follow in her footsteps and share her powerful story.”
