Even though it’s too late for a Taco Bell drive-thru in Ohio, the chain is serving chicken nuggets this week. Starting Thursday, December 19, the fast food chain is introducing its Crispy Chicken Nuggets and a line of dipping sauces for a limited time.

Taco Bell Chicken Nuggets are available for a limited time only

Instead of traditional breading, Taco Bell’s chicken nuggets are marinated in a jalapeño buttermilk flavor and coated in a mixture of tortilla chips and breadcrumbs to add crunch to the nuggets, the company announced in a press release today.

The nuggets come with three different dipping sauces to choose from: a Taco Bell-exclusive Bell Sauce, a sweet and spicy jalapeño honey mustard sauce, and a new Hidden Valley Fire Ranch sauce, considered the star of the trio.

Available starting December 19th, the nuggets will be available to customers at participating locations for a limited time only, while supplies last. Be sure to contact your local Taco Bell restaurant for pricing, hours and participation which may vary.

“In a world dominated by chicken cravings, it was time to show the world how Taco Bell makes chicken nuggets – unexpected and undeniably daring,” said Taylor Montgomery, the chain’s chief marketing officer. Montgomery hopes the crispy nuggets will “test people’s devotion to their favorite nuggets.”

More unique Taco Bell menu items will be released this year

No stranger to trying new products, Taco Bell announced a number of new menu items to debut in 2024. These include the Baja Blast Pie, the Stanley Cup gift honoring the drink it’s based on, the fruit-infused Agua Refrescas, and a Caliente Cantina Chicken Burrito that was tested in Cincinnati in October.
