It is estimated that the tour will set a record in gross receipts

A Pollstar estimate from December last year found that the Eras Tour could generate a record-breaking gross of $2.165 billion from all scheduled tour dates combined.

The tour grossed $1.04 billion in 12 months ending November 15 last year, according to industry publication estimates.

That amount alone made the Eras Tour the first billion-dollar tour ever, according to Pollstar. It also earned Swift and her tour a Guinness World Record.

More than 150 tour dates

The world tour began in mid-March last year with two shows in Glendale, Arizona.

Since then she has traveled all over the world with the Eras Tour. In the end she will have over 150 Eras tour dates under her belt.

In August, Swift had to cancel three tour dates in the Austrian capital Vienna. The threat of a possible terrorist attack led to this data being deleted. The singer said the cancellation of the concerts in Vienna was “devastating” but also expressed her gratitude to the Austrian authorities “because thanks to them we mourned concerts and not lives.”

TAYLOR SWIFT LIFTS INCREASE DEMAND FOR AIR TICKETS TO EUROPE

Over the course of her tour, she performed in each city more than once. In Nashville, for example, she had three concerts. London had eight dates.

A three hour concert

Swift has covered a lot of musical ground during her Eras Tour shows.

At the start of the tour she performed songs from 10 different albums. That number rose to 11 after she released her latest album – “The Tortured Poets Department” – in April.

Swift debuted songs from “TTPD” on the Eras Tour in Paris.

With such an extensive setlist of more than 40 songs, each of their concerts lasted more than three hours.

Inspired concert film and book

Swift created a concert film of the Eras Tour, which she distributed to theaters through AMC Entertainment.

According to Box Office Mojo, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour first hit theaters in mid-October last year. The domestic opening weekend generated over $93.2 million in ticket sales, according to Box Office Mojo. The concert film’s total theatrical release grossed $261.66 million worldwide, according to the website.

It reportedly became the highest-grossing concert film ever.

Billionaire TAYLOR SWIFT gives back: Where she donates millions

When “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)” debuted on Disney+ in March, it received 4.6 million views in three days, according to the Walt Disney Company.

Meanwhile, Swift’s 256-page concert book, “The Eras Tour Book,” arrived at Target over the Thanksgiving shopping weekend. Target is the only retailer that carries it.

According to the Associated Press, Circana BookScan put “The Eras Tour Book” sales at 814,000 in the first two days it was available.

Lots of Louboutin shoes

Swift had Christian Louboutin make more than 250 pairs of shoes for the Eras Tour, Vogue reported in May. The designer’s shoes are known for their red bottoms.

The “Three Comma Club”

Media outlets began reporting in October last year that Swift’s net worth had surpassed the billion-dollar mark.

This spring, the singer made her official debut on Forbes’ annual billionaires ranking, with an estimated personal fortune of $1.1 billion.

The outlet linked her ten-figure net worth to her music and concerts, including the Eras Tour, which was hugely successful. According to Forbes, real estate also played a role.

A tour is a boon to the local economy

The Eras Tour has been a boon to the local economies of the cities Swift visits.

For example, Ralph Schulz, CEO of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, told FOX Business last year that while Swift’s tour was in Tennessee’s capital, it “generated tens of millions of dollars in direct visitor spending, boosted local businesses and supported job growth, while promoting Nashville as a… a company presented “a premier destination for music enthusiasts worldwide.”

Earlier this year, an analysis of 20 American cities published by Mastercard found that restaurants and hotels are benefiting greatly from Swift’s tour when it comes to the city.
