Teoscar Hernandez signs a $66 million contract to stay with the Dodgers

One of the best remaining MLB free agents is off the board.

And he’s not going anywhere.

The Dodgers and Teoscar Hernandez agreed to a three-year, $66 million contract Friday night, Jon Heyman of The Post confirmed.

ESPN reported that Hernandez’s new contract includes a club option worth $15 million for the 2028 season with a $6.5 million buyout.

The contract also includes a deferred payment of $23.5 million, the outlet added.

Hernandez, 32, posted a simple message on his Instagram Story: “I’m back.”

During the World Series in October, Hernandez told Heyman that he “1,000 percent” wanted to go back to the Dodgers, even though the Red Sox and Blue Jays were among the teams that expressed interest in him.

The bully now gets his wish.

Since becoming a full-time player in 2018, Hernandez has been one of the game’s best hitters, winning three Silver Slugger Awards and being named to two All-Star teams.

But in 2023 with the Mariners, Hernandez had a down year by his standards, posting a .741 OPS, the lowest overall season mark of his career.

The Dominican Republic native then signed a one-year deal with Los Angeles, where he bounced back – and then some.

Hernandez smashed a career-best 33 home runs with a .272/.339/.501 slash line, helping the Dodgers win the NL West title.

An All-Star regular season was followed by a strong postseason in which he posted a .350 batting average with one home run and four RBIs in the World Series.

His game-winning double in the fifth inning of Game 5 helped the Dodgers reverse the momentum before defeating the Yankees 7-6 to clinch the title.
