BRYAN COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M football team accepted an invitation to the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and will face USC of the Big Ten on Friday, December 27 at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN.

“We are excited about the opportunity to play in the Las Vegas Bowl,” said the Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko said. “This Texas A&M team has put in maximum effort all year and we look forward to the challenge of competing against an outstanding USC team.”

“As a football athlete, I know that a postseason bowl game is a reward for players, coaches, staff and Aggies everywhere,” said Athletics Director Trev Alberts. “We are excited to compete against a quality team like USC in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl. I’m excited for the players to be able to play in another NFL stadium like Allegiant Stadium and have another chance to play in front of the 12.”Th Man.”

Tickets for the Las Vegas Bowl are on sale now by clicking here. The advance ticket sales deadline is Tuesday, December 10th at 5 p.m. All tickets for the game will be digital and additional information will be sent to purchasers at a later date.

The invite marks Texas A&M’s 45th bowl selection and their first appearance in the Las Vegas Bowl. It will be Texas A&M’s first bowl game west of the Rocky Mountains since the 2006 Holiday Bowl against California in San Diego, California.

It will be the first meeting between the two programs since 1977, when Texas A&M lost to USC 47-28 in the Bluebonnet Bowl at the Astrodome in Houston, Texas.
