The ageless Elton John brings fans to tears with his “magical” Christmas performance

Singer Elton John has been praised for his “magical” performance of Tiny Dancer during this year’s Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade – which even moved some viewers to tears.

The parade, which premiered on ABC, featured hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro reporting from the Magic Kingdom theme park at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

This year’s impressive list of artists included not only Elton, but also John Legend, Andy Grammar, Carly Pearce and the Pentatonix.

Of course, the most popular Disney characters were also there, such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Elsa from the hit film “Frozen” and Buzz Lightyear from “Toy Story”.

The 77-year-old Elton’s performance moved viewers from across the country this Christmas.

The hitmaker ended the parade by singing his song Tiny Dancer behind the piano on stage at the Magic Kingdom.

He wore a bright purple suit, his signature sunglasses and a festive Christmas brooch on his jacket.

Many fans then took to X, formerly Twitter, to express how great they thought his performance was.

“Someone tell me why I burst into tears today when I heard Elton John sing ‘Tiny Dancer’ at the Disney park show,” one person wrote.

Another gushed: “@ABCNetwork What a way to end the #DisneyChristmasDayParad than with a performance by the legendary Elton John.”

“Is Elton John rocking this Disney Christmas parade or am I getting older and more emotional on this special day?” someone else typed.

One user agreed: “Elton John on Disney Christmas is amazing.” I’ll never get tired of his music. Although his voice deepened over the years, it became more and more soulful.”

“Elton John can do no wrong!” wrote one viewer.

In a behind-the-scenes video that user @briantreks posted on TikTok early last month while they were presumably recording the parade, many continued to comment on his amazing voice.

“That was literally the most magical thing I’ve ever seen!” one person wrote.

Another gushed: “His voice still sounds great! He’s truly a remarkable artist!.”

In an interview with On The Red Carpet, Elton said it felt “amazing” to be at the parade.

“My kids will love it because they are Walt Disney fanatics just like us,” he said.

Elton is the father of two sons with his husband David Furnish.

They welcomed their son Zachary in 2010, born through a surrogate, and their son Elijah in 2013, also born through a surrogate.

While many raved about Elton’s performance, others were critical of the parade.

Some criticized the amount of advertising included during the program, saying it felt like they were just watching a Disney cruise commercial.

“Hello, Disney. “I love you but can we have a little more PARADE and a little less advertising,” one person wrote.

Another agreed in response: “Right?” “I just told my husband it feels more like a Disney Cruise Line ad than a Christmas parade.”

“Why does the Disney parade forget what Walt wanted?” To be a child again. Instead, it’s a theatrical production that isn’t so much about the characters. “So disappointed again,” complained another.

“It’s mostly advertising,” one viewer agreed.

Another person said the popular Macy’s Thanksgiving parade “far surpassed” them.

“As an adult, you really realize that the Disney Christmas parade is not something. Because where is the actual parade? And why the hell do people wear shorts?!’ another was wounded.
