The Browns signed WR Kadarius Toney and WR Michael Woods II and placed DT Maurice Hurst II and T Jedrick Wills Jr. on injured reserve

The Cleveland Browns signed WR Kadarius Toney and WR Michael Woods II from the practice squad to the active roster and placed DT Maurice Hurst II (ankle) and T Jedrick Wills Jr. (knee) on injured reserve. The team also called up DT TY McGill and WR James Proche II from the practice squad. Additionally, CB Myles Harden was downgraded to out for Sunday’s game.

Toney (6-0, 193) is in his fourth NFL season out of Florida. Toney was originally a first-round pick of the Giants in 2021 and has played in 34 games in his career, including two with the Browns this season. He recorded 82 career receptions for 760 yards with three touchdowns while adding 23 rushes for 115 yards and a score. Toney will wear number 87.

Woods (6-1, 204) is in his third NFL season out of Oklahoma. Woods, a sixth-round pick by the Browns in 2022, has played in 11 career games and recorded eight receptions for 88 yards. Woods will wear number 81.

Hurst played eight games this season with two appearances as a starter. He recorded 16 tackles and half a sack.

Wills appeared in five games with four starts at left tackle this season.

Proche (5-11, 193) is in his fifth season in the NFL out of SMU. He was originally a sixth-round pick by Baltimore in 2020 and has played in 57 games over the past two seasons, including 14 for the Browns. He has registered 26 career receptions for 281 yards. Proche will wear number 11.

McGill (6-0, 295) is in his 10th NFL season at North Carolina State. Originally signed by Seattle as an undrafted free agent in 2015, McGill has played 58 career games with the Colts (2015-16), Browns (2017), Chargers (2018 and 2019), Eagles (2018 and 2020) and Vikings ( 2021) and 49ers (2022-24). He has recorded 46 tackles, 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in his career. He appeared in one game for the 49ers this season. McGill will wear number 63.
