The Arizona Cardinals took a 10-0 first quarter lead against the New England Patriots and got help from right tackle Jonah Williams. He saved them from losing the ball and scored a touchdown.

On the second drive of the game, the Cardinals reached the red zone. On second and third passes from the eight-yard line, receiver Greg Dortch received a rushing attempt. He gained six yards, but Patriots linebacker Anfernee Jennings knocked the ball out and forced a fumble. The ball was fired into the back of the end zone, where Williams cleanly recovered it before it rolled out of bounds.

If the ball had left the back of the end zone and it wasn’t a touchdown, it would have been a turnover and a touchback.

Thanks to Williams’ clean recovery, they gained a two-point lead in the first quarter.
