The Dallas Stars defeated Utah 3-2 on Monday night – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Roope Hintz scored his team-leading 15th goal to help the Dallas Stars beat Utah 3-2 on Monday night.

Hintz scored at 12:39 of the second period to tie the game at 1-1. Jamie Benn and Colin Blackwell also scored for Dallas and Casey DeSmith had 24 stops.

The Stars had lost two in a row.

Kevin Stenlund and Barrett Hayton scored for Utah, and Karel Vejmelka had 27 saves. Utah only won one home game in December.

Dallas took the lead in the first period when Blackwell scored after a Utah turnover. Stenlund responded with his sixth goal of the season at 12:41.

Benn gave the Stars a 3-1 lead when he scored his seventh goal with 2:10 left in the second period.

With 8:21 minutes left in the third period, Utah got an equalizer on Hayton’s goal, but didn’t get the equalizer.
