The Denver Broncos have cut ties with the former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback

The Denver Broncos have cut former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Levi Wallace from their team. Wallace was initially the top backup, but when starting cornerback Riley Moss was injured, Wallace struggled greatly and was demoted. Now the Broncos have made several moves and Wallace is on the chopping block.

Wallace’s troubles took place on a national level when he failed to contain former Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. Instead, Jeudy passed for a career-high 235 yards, much of which came courtesy of Wallace.

Wallace was with the Steelers for two seasons. He started his entire first season with the team, but his play plummeted in the second season. The team then subbed him in for rookie Joey Porter Jr., who played much better than Wallace or their other veteran starter, Patrick Peterson.

After a practice, Wallace signed a one-year contract with the Broncos. Coming out of Alabama, he went undrafted and signed with the Buffalo Bills. Wallace started for the Bills, but the team let him walk as a free agent after four years.
