The Detroit Lions will finally wear their throwback jersey this year.

The Lions are expected to wear the jerseys when they face the Minnesota Vikings in the regular season finale at Ford Field in Week 18.

According to Detroit Football Network, “The Throwbacks will appear in the team’s season finale against the Minnesota Vikings in 2024. As it turns out, the final home game has become as big a tradition for the Throwbacks as Thanksgiving. Teddy Bridewater plans to return to the NFL

Former Detroit Lions quarterback Teddy Bridgewater found success as a high school football coach after retiring from the National Football League.

Bridgewater won a high school state championship in Florida on Saturday in his first season as head coach.

As coach of Miami Northwestern, his alma mater, the talented quarterback and his team defeated Jacksonville Raines 41-0 in the Class 3A state championship game in Florida.

Bridgewater went 12-2 and helped his alma mater win its first state title since 2019.

During an appearance on NFL Network, the former Lions signal-caller expressed that he plans to return to the NFL and could even join a team in the next two weeks.

Bridgewater told Tuesday’s edition of The Insiders: “That’s the plan. My team knows that’s the plan. We wanted to win a state championship and then coach goes back to the league, sees what happens and then comes back in February in the offseason. “We will continue to coach high school football.

Bridgewater served as the backup quarterback to Jared Goff for the duration of the 2023 season. He appeared in one game.

“We’ll see how the next week and a half, two weeks unfold, whether we sign with a team or something like that,” Bridgewater explained. “And then I’ll be coaching high school football again in February. So, we’ll see.”
